Overview

The Hillsborough Street Renaissance is a green arts & music festival that will be occurring Saturday, March 14th, 2009 from noon until 10pm between Gardner St. and Logan Ct. The event will kick off the two year construction slated to occur on Hillsborough Street and we are hoping it will help revitalize this once central area, by bridging ties between the University and surrounding community. We have numerous events we are planning throughout the day, including an eco-friendly fashion show, an alternative fuel vehicle showcase, local live music all day long, and a Kid Zone. The festival will raise money for student and community non-profits that focus on renewable energy research, sustainable development, and community improvement including Soles for Souls, Engineers Without Borders and MorLove.
